TOWNSHIP AT RATNAGIRI | 2008 - ONGOING
The JSW Township was proposed for employees of  the Jaigarh Power Plant, in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra.

An effort was made to create identifiable neighbourhoods, which would promote sense of belonging to the immediate surroundings

Suitable social spaces in a hierarchical order were designed - a Maidan for recreation, open courts for a clusters of houses and private gardens, terraces, corridors and lobbies for intimate interactions.

Segregation of pedestrian paths and vehicular traffic streets was a conscious design step to increase safety and encourage walking.

Since the site was contoured the buildings were designed along the contours to minimize cut and fill.

There are two zones of the residential township :
Contracted Workers Township - Zone 1
Staff housing township - Zone 2
